please direct your attention to
this post. it is full of LOLs. wtf, chris? why, why, why?
i am clearly extremely bored at work. i hate this place and the customers i have to help. if you make a purchase over $50, you get a free gift. we have different gifts for different price ranges, and one woman came in today and showed me her receipts [they're cumulative] which equaled $252. she can choose from like, 7 things with that much, but no. she wants one of the $350 gifts. apparently, the store manager told her it would be okay to give her that last time she came, but he and all of the other store managers were in a meeting. so i try to call him down to ask[i felt really stupid for interrupting the meeting for something so trivial] because the last time i gave someone the gift worth a few dollars over their spending amount, i was told not to [and $100 is a much bigger difference]. anyway, long story short, my supervisor came down instead, said no - tell her to come back next time she spends more instead, the woman would not leave me alone or shut up about how my manager said it was okay, and finally, i got so fed up with her i just got a cashier [who didn't seem to want to help her either] to take care of it. ONLY A CHINESE PERSON WOULD GO THROUGH THIS SHIT FOR 15 MINUTES TO GET A FREE GIFT. ugh. i wanted to bitch at her so badly. the worst part is...this isn't the first time something like this has happened. rantrantrant.
my frustration is not worth $6/hour. D:
i am pretty desperate to quit but my mom and grandmother insist that i stay here. i'll probably stay until the end of september [which will make it more than a full year of working here!] and then quit since school will probably be too much for me anyway.
speaking of which, i've never been so excited for school to start! yay!
i've already started my back-to-school shopping! i spent over $300 in the past week and i kind of hate myself but i honestly can't seem to curb my current online shopping obsession. my mom is getting pretty pissed at seeing so many packages being delivered since it obviously means i'm spending money. my style has changed a lot over the summer which is really annoying because now i don't want to wear 3/4 of the things in my closet and everything i want now is expensive. if it wasn't for the fact that i have a list of really expensive things i want to buy [several dress forms, a serger, a drawing tablet, power tools, a plane ticket to japan, etc.], i'd probably go to town with my money. but alas...
why have we figured out how to do face transplants but we STILL don't know how to make money grow on trees? lame.
